Acceptable use

Purpose

Calis hosting is for lawful workloads. You may not use a VPS, Windows server, desktop seat, or SMTP mailbox to harm other people, other networks, or this platform.

Desktop seats

A managed desktop (RDP) seat includes residential ISP egress on that seat. That is the product. You get one Windows user on a shared host. You pick a city at checkout as locale and routing preference; the ISP address we buy is country-level, not a unique city-dedicated IP.

You may use that egress for your own lawful desktop traffic. You may not resell the seat as an open proxy, SOCKS/HTTP proxy, traffic tunnel for third parties, or a multi-tenant desktop farm.

SMTP

SMTP plans send from shared Calis IPs (Amsterdam Vultr ESP). The From address must be the issued mailbox on @smtp.calis.host. You cannot bring your own domain in this catalog version, and you may not spoof other domains.

Use is transactional: application alerts, receipts, login mail. Unsolicited bulk, newsletter blasts, purchased recipient lists, and phishing are forbidden. Hitting the monthly message cap or breaking this policy disables SMTP AUTH. There is no refund for an AUP breach. Report abuse to abuse@calis.exchange.

Forbidden

• Spam, unsolicited bulk email, or operating an open relay.
• Phishing, credential theft, payment-card fraud (carding), or other scams.
• Malware, botnets, scanning or exploiting third-party systems without written authorisation from that system’s owner.
• Hosting or distributing child sexual abuse material — we report it.
• Content or activity that is illegal in Switzerland or in the region where the service runs.
• Copyright or trademark abuse after a valid notice, if you refuse to take it down.
• Reselling a desktop seat as an open proxy, proxy farm, or extra tenants on the same seat.
• Attacks on Calis infrastructure, other customers, or the billing console.

Network

Keep outbound mail, crawlers, and scrapers within the law and within your transfer allotment. We may filter or rate-limit traffic that looks like abuse. We do not sell “bulletproof” hosting.

Your duties

Keep credentials private. Patch what you install. If your service is compromised, tell us via a billing ticket. You remain responsible for traffic that leaves your instance.

What we will do

We may slow, suspend, or terminate a service that violates this policy, and we may keep logs needed for an investigation. We cooperate with Swiss and EU competent authorities when required. There is no refund for capacity used in breach of this policy.

Reports

Send abuse evidence to abuse@calis.exchange with timestamps, source IPs, and sample headers or URLs. Account and billing issues stay in tickets at my.calis.host.
